Happy Holy Days

I believe in Christ, the man and the god, that dwells within in us all, but I don't believe in hate, though hate is easy to be found...

Sometimes it is harder to find the love, it takes a little bit more work to see the love that surrounds us, that love is really the only thing that makes life worth living.

Sometimes, if we are alone, it is easy to think that there is no love, but that is only a filter which one can, with practice, take off.

To experience love, we must first give love, for when you practice what you want, it will find its way to you.

So I wish for you, my readers and the others in my life, a life full of the practice of giving love, so that it may find you.

What is Prayer?

To Religious Scientists, Prayer or what we like to call Spiritual Mind Treatments, is the conscious alignment or affirmation of yourself with the Truth that is beyond this experience and is the truth about yourself in God's Mind.

We like to do this in five steps, the First we call Recognition; in this step we recognize the Attributes of God, the One Mind, the One Spirit that is in all things.

the second we call Unification, this is where we align ourselves with the One Presence.

The third step we call, Realization; this is where we restate our True thoughts about ourselves, in our experience we sometimes get focused on what seems to be true about us, i.e. not enough money, in the step realization, we focus on what is the truth, that we already have all these things, that they already are ours

the fourth Step we call Thanksgiving or Celebration, this is where we express our thanks for this desire, being already present in our lives

And the Fifth Step is called Release this is where we release our word into the perfect Action of Law (not God's love or the universe)

THE STAGES OF TREATMENT

What are the Five Stages of Treatment?
Recognition
Unification
Realization
Thanksgiving
Release

What is the reason for the order in which the stages proceed?
- First two steps are to open ourselves to our clearest awareness of spirit's presence within and around us. the 3rd step we are directing out thoughts into the realization of our specified desired good now we can realize, claim and accept the good we have placed into the law, the fourth step is thanksgiving, not thanking God (for that would imply a separateness), but thanking for the gift already given - the fifth step is release - which we do with heartfelt emotions that Law can do its proper work without our interference.

What is the Content and the purpose of each stage?
- 1 Recognition - we state or recognize - acknowledge the truth of what god is and that god is all there is.
- 2 Unification - we unify ourselves with this God force - that I am one with this Source, that God is me , expressing as me.
- 3 Realization - we state the truth about ourselves - that I clearly see the good that I desire as already mine, tha I am open and ready to receive the good that I desire
- 4 Thanksgiving - we state our thanks for this being the truth about ourselves and for the fact that the gift is already given
- 5 Release - we release or let go - believing and accepting that my good is now coming into mansifitation

THE PURPOSE OF TREATMENT
How do you arrive at a statement of purpose for a treatment for yourself? for another?
first state the purpose (the desire or problem) then state the the changed condition

How do you change the problem into a spiritual truth for the statement of purpose?
State the problem or condition then state the different experience that they wish to manifest.

Why do we write a statement of purpose before entering into treatment?
to place into law a mold or mental picture of the specific good that I desire, this allows me to be free for full realization of the Truth of my (or others) being and affairs

DIFFERENCES IN WORDS USED IN TREATING FOR SELF AND OTHERS
In what stage do we begin to talk about the person who has asked for treatment and why at that point?
IN the unification step - because my purpose is to see the truth about the person I am treating for.

How do we refer to the one for whom you are treating during your treatment work?
By their name

Why do we NEVER use the word "you" during a treatment?
Because I am treating myself, for me to see the truth about someone. we are not talking to them, even if they are in the room to experience your words.

THE APPLICATION AND PROCESS OF TREATMENT

Why do we refer to treatment as the "directive" mode of spiritual practice?
because we are consciously "DIRECTING" our thoughts to the realization of a specific good

What are we trying to change when we are treating for another person?
We are treating ourselves realizing the truth about someone, so Id say we are changing our perceptions

Exactly what is being done for the person for whom we are treating?
we are acknowledging to ourselves the truth about someone

One Love

One Life, One Presence that is and expresses through all things. One Love that knows only love, expresses only Love

I am one with this Perfect Love, this Perfect Universe. I am one with this Spirit that never blames, that only loves and gives. I am one with this Spirit that only loves, and that sees the Truth and Perfection of Who and What we are. And so this too, is the truth about Sue, That she is unique expression of the One Spirit, that she is the delight of God.

Knowing the truth about Sue, that she is surrounded, and enveloped in the God Essence that expresses as Love, is Love, and knows only Love. I now speak this word about Sue she experiences and expresses her true nature, which is Perfect Love. That She now remembers and embraces who she is, and is able to open her heart and experience this love and that I know that as we give, we so receive. I know that Sue allows herself to express this love and so is ready to receive this Love that already surrounds her. That she already allowing more love, the perfect expression of this love, more of that which her own heart embraces, desires and delights in.

And I am grateful that I know that this is the truth about Sue I give thanks for this word which is now unfolding into realization, and I celebrate the Perfect Love of God that is even now waiting for Sue to accept and allow for the realization of this love which is already present in the heart of God.

And now I release my word into the Law, into the infinite creative activity of the law, knowing that I as know the truth and feel, it is now done. And so it is.

One Mind, One Spirit, One God. All there is, is God. The substance of the stars and planets, Creator of all, Source of All, that delights in giving, for God is only love. A Presence that knows only love, never blames, All loving and accepting.

I am one with this Perfect Love, this Perfect Universe. I am one with this Spirit that never blames, that only loves and gives. I am one with this Spirit that only loves, and that sees the Truth and Perfection of Who and What we are. And so this too, is the truth about Linda, That she is unique expression of the One Spirit, that she is perfect and blameless in the eye of God.

That She now remembers and embraces who she is and dances and delights in these truths, and that I know that as we give, we so receive. I know that Linda is able to give of her heart and soul to all around her, and in doing so, she opens herself up to the abundance that is God, allowing more good, more abundance, more of that which her own heart embraces and delights in.

And I am grateful that I know that this is the truth about Linda, I give thanks for this word which is now unfolding into realization, and I celebrate the Abundance of God that is even now waiting for Linda to accept.

And now I release my word into the Law, into the infinite creative activity of the law, knowing that I as know the truth and feel, it is now done. And so it is.

Kahlil Gibran

Love one another, but make not a bond of love: Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls. Fill each other's cup but drink not from the same cup. Give one another your bread but eat not from the same loaf. Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each of you be alone, even as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music.

One Mind, One Spirit, One God. All there is, is God. Perfect Love, Perfect Peace, Perfect Divine Order.

I am one with this Perfect Love, Perfect Peace and Perfect Divine Order. I rest in the Strength of God within me. Everything unfolds and reveals itself in perfect divine order. Perfect Love and Perfect Divine Order is what John is expressing and flows through him, expressing as him.

Knowing the truth about Allan, that he is surrounded by Perfect Divine Love, Harmony and Peace that is the One Mind, I now speak this word about Allan, The Creative Expression of Spirit expresses though him now and always, allowing the strength within him to place each thing in its divine Order. Perfect Divine Peace is his as he embraces and celebrates this order.

And I am grateful that I know that this is the truth about Allan, I give thanks for this word which is now unfolding into realization, and I celebrate the divine order that is now unfolding in Allan’s home.

And now I release my word into the Law, into the infinite activity of the law, knowing that I as know the truth and feel, it is now done. And so it is.

There is

Only one life, One Spirit, One Divine Order, which is Complete & Whole.

I am one with that Divine Order, One with that Divine Completeness, and I am whole.

I accept and allow that wholeness to be my realization of who I am, that this wholeness, completeness and acceptance is my life now, That this completeness is the truth of my being. I accept that what is done in the past does not define who we are for all time, that the truth of our being is always true.

I am grateful and full of thanks that this is so, I am grateful for the love of these others in my class who are also speaking the truth of my being.

I now release my word into the law of action and so it is.

Thursday Evening - Wk 3

Meditation - Chanting

This week we chanted something in a different language - what follows are my thoughts

When I know the words, I can really get into the emotions of what I am chanting about - When I know the words yet don't know the meaning (foreign languages) Then I am able to get into a rhythm which I call the heartbeat of the universe or God. When I find difficulty with the words, I find myself concentrating on trying to say the words (and I get frustrated). I usually enjoy chanting - this one I found difficult, but I could find comfort in this one given time.

-

Word Association - Attributes of God

One Mind

God is all there is, there is no situation where God is not, for God is all there is. God is the infinite love that is never judging and all accepting.

I am one with this infinite love that God is, I am one with the complete love, understanding and acceptance that is the mind of God, and I dwell in this Presence, always and forever, and this is also true of Allan. Allan is one with the infinite love of God and loves and accepts all things as expressions of God.

I speak my word for the truth of Allan’s being, that he is one with the all loving Mind and Spirit that is God. That he is dwells in the essence of this love and looks at all expressions of God Recognizing them as God, and so embraces the god within them.

I give thanks for this awareness of the truth of Allan’s being, his understanding, unending love and acceptance of all of Gods expressions.

I now release this word into the perfect action of the law, knowing that as it is spoken, so it is.

Meditation - Week 2

Last night we learned a new kind of meditation - what is called a mantra - A Mantra is words repeated over and over again, in your mind, - I tried it this morning, and I it was different and I wanders off for a bit, but then, I noticed that and was able to bring my self back to the meditation

Homework - Week 2

for home work we are to do a spiritual mind treatment for our prayer partner.

Going by the thought that God works through our intentions , and not a "perfectly" formulated prayer, last night as I lay my head down to sleep I thought, why not start right now, So last night I started a Spiritual Mind Treatment for my partner.

When I woke up I thought of him again and started another one.

Interesting side note, as I thought of him I thought of others, who are in need of prayer.
