THE STAGES OF TREATMENT
What are the Five Stages of Treatment?
Recognition
Unification
Realization
Thanksgiving
Release
What is the reason for the order in which the stages proceed?
- First two steps are to open ourselves to our clearest awareness of spirit's presence within and around us. the 3rd step we are directing out thoughts into the realization of our specified desired good now we can realize, claim and accept the good we have placed into the law, the fourth step is thanksgiving, not thanking God (for that would imply a separateness), but thanking for the gift already given - the fifth step is release - which we do with heartfelt emotions that Law can do its proper work without our interference.
What is the Content and the purpose of each stage?
- 1 Recognition - we state or recognize - acknowledge the truth of what god is and that god is all there is.
- 2 Unification - we unify ourselves with this God force - that I am one with this Source, that God is me , expressing as me.
- 3 Realization - we state the truth about ourselves - that I clearly see the good that I desire as already mine, tha I am open and ready to receive the good that I desire
- 4 Thanksgiving - we state our thanks for this being the truth about ourselves and for the fact that the gift is already given
- 5 Release - we release or let go - believing and accepting that my good is now coming into mansifitation
THE PURPOSE OF TREATMENT
How do you arrive at a statement of purpose for a treatment for yourself? for another?
first state the purpose (the desire or problem) then state the the changed condition
How do you change the problem into a spiritual truth for the statement of purpose?
State the problem or condition then state the different experience that they wish to manifest.
Why do we write a statement of purpose before entering into treatment?
to place into law a mold or mental picture of the specific good that I desire, this allows me to be free for full realization of the Truth of my (or others) being and affairs
DIFFERENCES IN WORDS USED IN TREATING FOR SELF AND OTHERS
In what stage do we begin to talk about the person who has asked for treatment and why at that point?
IN the unification step - because my purpose is to see the truth about the person I am treating for.
How do we refer to the one for whom you are treating during your treatment work?
By their name
Why do we NEVER use the word "you" during a treatment?
Because I am treating myself, for me to see the truth about someone. we are not talking to them, even if they are in the room to experience your words.
THE APPLICATION AND PROCESS OF TREATMENT
Why do we refer to treatment as the "directive" mode of spiritual practice?
because we are consciously "DIRECTING" our thoughts to the realization of a specific good
What are we trying to change when we are treating for another person?
We are treating ourselves realizing the truth about someone, so Id say we are changing our perceptions
Exactly what is being done for the person for whom we are treating?
we are acknowledging to ourselves the truth about someone
