What if God isn't a noun to be empowered and worshiped
but a verb of creation powered by love?
What if every single tree drawn in primary school is a sacred work of art worthy of joyful notice?
What if our lives are built on a web of kindness, a net, which holds everything living. What if the rocks are alive singing strength and courage; vibrating from our feet right up to our heart?
What if we loved ourselves as deeply as the mountain who, caressed by water, surrenders herself into sand?
What if our most loved, intra-national pastime was a game of entertainment where we all win?
What if no one aspired to be a millionaire and money no longer had power
but was simply a means of tenderness.
What if transforming our world by imagining it can actually make it happen?

This week I focus on my thoughts and feelings about myself. When there is self-recrimination I pause ... and then I consciously practice self-love and unconditional friendliness toward myself and allow it to bring to light new ways that I can better appreciate who I am as a child of God. I am caring and kind to the most important person in my life . . . me! I love my gay, wonderful self so much.

a penny
usually I don't write about my dreams here, but since it relates to my new class I thought I would.
I dreamed that I saw a penny on the ground, and I picked it up, this I normally don't do, but in my financial freedom class, we talk about that spirit gives us abundance in accordance to what we are willing to accept.
So I leaned over and picked up the penny, and then I saw another penny, and I picked up that one too. Pretty soon I was picking up plenty of pennies, and the pennies were getting larger and larger.
I looked over in the sand and I saw a glint of silver, I reached over and it was a crown.
I then found another crown, and each crown was getting bigger and more elaborate, then they starting become Golden Crowns, finally there was more than I could carry.
I saw some people and I said to them, "Come here, there are Gold crowns here, and I have more than can use.
Maybe the dream means nothing, maybe it means that if spirit gives you a little, you need to accept it , be grateful for it, and once you are, that opens yourself up for more and more, until you have more than you need.

New Class - New thoughts
new thoughts - can we change the way we think about things, change our attitudes, make our own lives better?
in the class I'm taking, we were asked to think - to go back and look at our first money memory, and what we learned from it.
I thought and thought, and I flashed back on my mother (stepmom #2) and how it was her birthday - I had no money to buy her a gift (I was 9 or 10) and I was told to get out of the house and not to come back until we had a gift for her -
my sister and I scrounged up coke bottles and the like, until we had a couple of bucks, and then we went to the drugstore and bought some thing.
-
What I learned from this; is that you are worthless unless you have money, unless you have a gift to bring, you are useless.
of course this doesn't make it true, it is just what I brought away from it.
-
I confessed this at the class, and later I felt so incredibly free and lighter that I ever had before.

Happy Holy Days
I believe in Christ, the man and the god, that dwells within in us all, but I don't believe in hate, though hate is easy to be found...
Sometimes it is harder to find the love, it takes a little bit more work to see the love that surrounds us, that love is really the only thing that makes life worth living.
Sometimes, if we are alone, it is easy to think that there is no love, but that is only a filter which one can, with practice, take off.
To experience love, we must first give love, for when you practice what you want, it will find its way to you.
So I wish for you, my readers and the others in my life, a life full of the practice of giving love, so that it may find you.

What is Prayer?
To Religious Scientists, Prayer or what we like to call Spiritual Mind Treatments, is the conscious alignment or affirmation of yourself with the Truth that is beyond this experience and is the truth about yourself in God's Mind.
We like to do this in five steps, the First we call Recognition; in this step we recognize the Attributes of God, the One Mind, the One Spirit that is in all things.
the second we call Unification, this is where we align ourselves with the One Presence.
The third step we call, Realization; this is where we restate our True thoughts about ourselves, in our experience we sometimes get focused on what seems to be true about us, i.e. not enough money, in the step realization, we focus on what is the truth, that we already have all these things, that they already are ours
the fourth Step we call Thanksgiving or Celebration, this is where we express our thanks for this desire, being already present in our lives
And the Fifth Step is called Release this is where we release our word into the perfect Action of Law (not God's love or the universe)

THE STAGES OF TREATMENT
What are the Five Stages of Treatment?
Recognition
Unification
Realization
Thanksgiving
Release
What is the reason for the order in which the stages proceed?
- First two steps are to open ourselves to our clearest awareness of spirit's presence within and around us. the 3rd step we are directing out thoughts into the realization of our specified desired good now we can realize, claim and accept the good we have placed into the law, the fourth step is thanksgiving, not thanking God (for that would imply a separateness), but thanking for the gift already given - the fifth step is release - which we do with heartfelt emotions that Law can do its proper work without our interference.
What is the Content and the purpose of each stage?
- 1 Recognition - we state or recognize - acknowledge the truth of what god is and that god is all there is.
- 2 Unification - we unify ourselves with this God force - that I am one with this Source, that God is me , expressing as me.
- 3 Realization - we state the truth about ourselves - that I clearly see the good that I desire as already mine, tha I am open and ready to receive the good that I desire
- 4 Thanksgiving - we state our thanks for this being the truth about ourselves and for the fact that the gift is already given
- 5 Release - we release or let go - believing and accepting that my good is now coming into mansifitation
THE PURPOSE OF TREATMENT
How do you arrive at a statement of purpose for a treatment for yourself? for another?
first state the purpose (the desire or problem) then state the the changed condition
How do you change the problem into a spiritual truth for the statement of purpose?
State the problem or condition then state the different experience that they wish to manifest.
Why do we write a statement of purpose before entering into treatment?
to place into law a mold or mental picture of the specific good that I desire, this allows me to be free for full realization of the Truth of my (or others) being and affairs
DIFFERENCES IN WORDS USED IN TREATING FOR SELF AND OTHERS
In what stage do we begin to talk about the person who has asked for treatment and why at that point?
IN the unification step - because my purpose is to see the truth about the person I am treating for.
How do we refer to the one for whom you are treating during your treatment work?
By their name
Why do we NEVER use the word "you" during a treatment?
Because I am treating myself, for me to see the truth about someone. we are not talking to them, even if they are in the room to experience your words.
THE APPLICATION AND PROCESS OF TREATMENT
Why do we refer to treatment as the "directive" mode of spiritual practice?
because we are consciously "DIRECTING" our thoughts to the realization of a specific good
What are we trying to change when we are treating for another person?
We are treating ourselves realizing the truth about someone, so Id say we are changing our perceptions
Exactly what is being done for the person for whom we are treating?
we are acknowledging to ourselves the truth about someone

One Love
One Life, One Presence that is and expresses through all things. One Love that knows only love, expresses only Love
I am one with this Perfect Love, this Perfect Universe. I am one with this Spirit that never blames, that only loves and gives. I am one with this Spirit that only loves, and that sees the Truth and Perfection of Who and What we are. And so this too, is the truth about Sue, That she is unique expression of the One Spirit, that she is the delight of God.
Knowing the truth about Sue, that she is surrounded, and enveloped in the God Essence that expresses as Love, is Love, and knows only Love. I now speak this word about Sue she experiences and expresses her true nature, which is Perfect Love. That She now remembers and embraces who she is, and is able to open her heart and experience this love and that I know that as we give, we so receive. I know that Sue allows herself to express this love and so is ready to receive this Love that already surrounds her. That she already allowing more love, the perfect expression of this love, more of that which her own heart embraces, desires and delights in.
And I am grateful that I know that this is the truth about Sue I give thanks for this word which is now unfolding into realization, and I celebrate the Perfect Love of God that is even now waiting for Sue to accept and allow for the realization of this love which is already present in the heart of God.
And now I release my word into the Law, into the infinite creative activity of the law, knowing that I as know the truth and feel, it is now done. And so it is.

Kahlil Gibran
Love one another, but make not a bond of love: Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls. Fill each other's cup but drink not from the same cup. Give one another your bread but eat not from the same loaf. Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each of you be alone, even as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music.
